It’s been nearly two weeks since the trip, but I am still buzzing. I love the South Island, the further south you go. There’s something about the quality of the light and the air that is just so fresh and beautiful. This is particularly true of summer in Queenstown and Te Anau. And then there’s the amazingly rugged beauty of the Remarkable Mountains or the staggering peaks of Fiordland National Park. So much beauty.
My girlfriend and I went down to visit some friends and what a great time we had! It was awesome catching up with and making new friends. We so appreciated the incredibly hospitality we experienced while away. We also ended up getting a cruise on the TSS Earnslaw to Walter Peak Station (where I slept in the sun on the beanbags on the lawn — I was pretty tired) and visited the Te Anau caves. I’d never been to the caves before and loved exploring them. Both days were simply magical out on the water: perfectly calm and beautifully sunny. Can’t wait to get down to Fiordland again.
I am very grateful for the support from Macpac and MitoQ. My clothing — awesome to travel in, particularly the Verve Jacket — was all Macpac gear, and I couldn’t have done it without the energy from MitoQ.
